Owen crouched slightly, waiting for the timer to go off. There was really nothing to do in the labs and thus no real work. Since he was allowed to go on some missions, he had to make sure he was still capable of doing that. So that's what he was doing. Course this was just one thing he could do in order to make sure he could, this was a test of his speed. How long his endurance would last. If he couldn't keep up, then what use would he be? Sure he could.....track. But...not every mission would need him for that.
His thoughts were shattered when the buzzer went off, signalling to start running. Taking off, Owen ran down the track. It was nice that this was in here. Sure he could run laps in the courtyard but then he'd need someone else to time him. To stand there. Not many people were willing to do that nor had the time. So this was good. IT worked after all.

Isabelle walked into the training room to hear the timer go off and see a dog start running around the track. That was odd, since when did a dog work here. Was it a shifter of some kind or something? She was curious but she waited for him to be done running to ask.
"Hello there," She said a curious tone in her voice. "Who are you?" She asked wondering if it was a normal dog and she was going to look stupid, then again when did the PIDA ever allow normal dogs into the compound. She tilted her head to the side as she waited on his reply. She didn't think she would have to be careful with anyone in the compound, especially if they were just roaming around or training. She looked at him with a curious look in her eyes.
She had to admit he was a beautiful dog, upon closer inspection she wasn't sure he was full dog. She thought she could see little hints of wolf in his appearance. He looked mostly grayish brown and to Izzy he was really cute. She smiled as she took in his appearance. Maybe her and whoever this was could be friends.

When Isabelle entered, Owen was focused on the track. Wanting to beat the time. However when a voice reached his ears, they perked and he skidded to a halt. Reddish brown gaze landed upon her. Well no point in trying to reclaim the lost amount of time that the timer still had. Thus it went off again, signalling the end of the time limit. Well kind of disappointing really. But oh well, nothing he could do about.
"Owen Sherlock." Owen answered. "One of the scientists here and sometimes field agent. Though highly doubtful I'd be allowed to go on any missions recently."
He had heard of a few missions lately. One that was given to the local Hellhound and one of his either part time partner and roommate or one of the others who brought him in. They were sent on a mission that even though Owen didn't know much of it was deemed, too risky to allow the human mind trapped in a wolf-dog's body to go along with them. Oh well. Such was how things went. He'd never get out of this place.
"A field agent, I suppose?" Owen asked as he took a seat.

Izzy was a little surprised when he spoke to her without shifting or anything, then again maybe it was normal. Maybe they were stuck as a wolf-dog or something, who knew?
"I'm Isabelle, I think pretty well everyone calls me Izzy though," She said with a small laugh at the end. "I don't mind if you want to, I actually prefer it," She continued.
"Do you have any nicknames Owen, any that you like to be called at least?" She knew that some people had nicknames they would rather not be called. Not every nickname was great either, some could be pretty bad actually. She smiled at the dog as she sat down, partially so she would have more of a chance at making eye contact.
"Yeah, I don't often meet scientists, I never go anywhere near the labs," She confessed and wondered how she hadn't known about the field agent/scientist.
"If you don't mind me asking, what are you?" She asked curious as usual. She never knew when she was getting to curious until it was to late. She still had her head leaning to the side, showing just how curious she was.

She thinks? Owen thought in his head when Isabelle introduced herself.
Well at least he had something to call. Isabelle or Izzy. Did he have any nicknames that he liked? No...no not really. He preferred to be called by his name. Like a person should be. Course the nicknames he did get were jokes at him or just names he didn't prefer.
"I prefer to either be called by my first or last name." Owen answered. "Well it's understandable it you don't. It's in a whole different section and the only way to get to them is to know the way through the halls to get there or get yourself lost and just keep wandering around."
Like Agent Spoon. He had wanted to find the kitchen but found the labs instead. That was a truly bizarre meeting. That was all he could say to it. When asked about what he was, a sigh left him. Great...this...
"I'm a human." Owen replied. "I was in a.....accident and got stuck in the body of a wolf dog."
When he said 'accident' a slight growl left him. He really hated this subject. Since some people laughed at him due to it.

"Okay, Owen it is," Izzy said partial to his first name, though she didn't know why. She had never seen Sherlock Holmes so she didn't have any reason to call him Sherlock. "As easy as it is to get lost here, I prefer to stay where I know where I'm going," She said with another small laugh.
She had gotten lost when she first came to work here and had ended up wondering around for days before she found someone else. She had pretty well memorized the parts of the building where she belonged after that so she knew where she was going. She didn't like getting lost after that either.
When he explained what he was Izzy believed him, honestly who would lie about that? "I'm sure you hate it to, don't you?" She asked, sure that not everyone would believe him. "You're at least in a cute wolf-dog's body," She said trying not to sound to much like a kid screaming 'puppy' or something like that.
"Do you just sleep here? In the labs or something, or do you have someone you stay with when your not working?" She asked curious, he could stay with her if he wanted. She wasn't one that would treat him like a pet, not when she knew he could talk and had a human's mind. She wasn't going to offer if he said he already stayed with someone though.

Thank goodness. She actually called him what he preferred. Perhaps this day was going to be a okay one after all.
"Well, it's safe to say you will never find your way to the lab's then." Owen replied.
Since he spent all of his time in this place. He knew his way around well enough. He only went where he was allowed to, just like all the other members of this place. Hearing her words about his current state, Owen shrugged.
"I certainly didn't plan on this. Maybe if I could do things the way I used to be able to as well as be like this then maybe I wouldn't be...too unpleased with it." Owen explained.
Though at being called cute, his ears slanted and he raised a eyebrow. Seriously? Was he going to be stuck with another Agent Spoon now? The man had outright exclaimed PUPPY when the man came to the lab and saw Owen. Honestly, he was supposed to be an adult still.
"All scientists are provided with a room here as well as Agents." Owen answered. "Besides, it's not like I can actually go out there into the city or nothin."

"Guess so," She said with a laugh.
She saw Owen shrug and wondered if he really minded it anymore. She wouldn't outright ask him how long he had been like this, though she wanted to.
"I can only imagine it's hard to be a scientist and be like that," She said sympathetically, she really did feel sorry for him.
"I didn't mean to offend you or anything, I'm not childish enough to scream 'puppy' or anything like that! I was just stating that it could have been a mutt with mange or something instead of what you got," She said when she noticed his ears slant back and the raised eyebrow. She was being honest, he could have been stuck in something worse, at least this dog was cute and didn't have hair falling out or anything!
"Yeah but most don't stay in those rooms as far as I know," She said with a frown, no one should be alone, especially in a compound like this. "You could if you had an 'owner'. Maybe if you lived with one of the agents you could have some time out of the compound, and maybe prove that your strong enough to go on a few more missions," She said, she made sure to put air quotes around the word 'owner' because Owen wasn't a dog, even if he looked like one. She only meant that he needed someone to claim him if the dogcatcher got him or something, he would be more a roommate to the agent then a pet as he wasn't an actual animal. It did seem like a good idea to Izzy and she was curious on how he would reply.

"It's hard with no hands." Owen replied. "I pretty much am a mutt. Just not mixed with a bunch of dogs."
A wolf and a dog mixed into one. Heck, he didn't even know what kind of dog this body was mixed with. That wasn't important when his father found it and brought it back. Making him handle it and all. Even with the quote gesture when she said owner, he didn't take well to it. A snarl was on his face.
"I don't need any 'owner' in any way!! Fake or real!" Owen snapped. "I'm not allowed to go out there because I can talk and look like this! I use the room I have."
He turned his reddish brown gaze away form Isabelle. Clearly trying to calm down a bit.

Like Izzy said, she could only imagine. She didn't think she could say anything that could make him truly angry, in fact she thought they were going toward being friends.
She saw him snarl and stood up just to take a step back with wide eyes, she hadn't said anything that bad. She had been sure to make the air quotes and it had only been a suggestion!
"Whoa, hod on, it was only a suggestion. Seriously, I didn't know that would offend you!" How did she always manage to make people mad at her? She was okay with not being liked to well, or she had gotten used to it, but the last two people she had met didn't like her at all, or had gotten mad at her at some point.
She could tell he was trying to calm down, she hadn't meant to make him mad and she turned to do her own laps. She had just come in here because she could walk or jog and not bother anyone else, she was wrong she guessed. She would let him calm down while she walked around the track.

"How could you even suggest that?" Own requested. "It's like asking a shapeshifter to stay in their animal form and let a human take care of em, shapeshifters are well capable of taking care of themselves without having to be treated as a pet."
To Owen, Isabelle was making fun of his situation. Many did just that. He had a room here, near the labs. All scientists did in cause they didn't have a apartment, home, or something else. Sure shapeshifters had human forms Owen...did not. As Isabelle walked or jogged around the track, Owen rose and moved off of the tracks. Laying down, he turned his gaze away from Isabelle. Honestly, how could she even suggest that?!

"I didn't mean someone to take care of you like a pet! I meant someone to make sure you weren't taken by a dog catcher or something! Honestly I knew you weren't a pet!" She exclaimed as she finished her lap. "I'm not suggesting that you be treated like a pet, I wouldn't do that!" She said with a frown, she wasn't trying to make fun of him or anything!
Izzy had a feeling that a lot of people made fun of Owen for his situation but she wasn't one of them. To her it was just a suggestion to get him out of the compound. To her it was innocent and shouldn't have made him mad. She looked at Owen apologetically wondering just how much damage she had really done.

"I'd have to act like a pet! Thus I'd get treated as one anyway!" Owen barked back as he looked at her.
The wolf-dog with a human mind put his head down on his paws and rolled over. Ending up on his back and staring at the ceiling. Okay maybe he was handling this wrong. But considering he was a man thirty years of age stuck in the body of a wolf-dog and thus appeared to be a pet to almost everyone. When you thought about it, you should see how he would've taken what she said wrong. Really. If you were a human and spent almost thirty years of life in a human body like you were supposed to, only for one day to get your mind put into the body of a wolf-dog with no way to look like a human. Wouldn't you be unhappy and such a subject would be sensitive? Heck, even if you were a supernatural and something similar to this happened to you, to where you either couldn't access your human form or real form, wouldn't you be unhappy?

"I'm sorry I even suggested it, I just didn't think about it that way," She said as she sat down by him again.
"I kind of blew being friends, didn't I? If you want I'll leave you alone to train, at least work on strength or something while you run." She spoke sadly, she wouldn't mind being Owen's friend. She still didn't think it had been a terrible suggestion but oh well. She was still curious about what exactly happened to the person to get him stuck in the dog's body, he had been kind of vague when she asked and that seemed to be a touchy subject for him. She just smiled and pushed her curiosity back for once. She didn't want Owen mad at her again.

"So long as we don't mention that again, we'll be fine." Owen answered. "You can stay."
Kind of hard to work on anything with another person here but....this was a public space. So really he didn't have much of a right to ask her to leave. Besides, she needed to train too right? She was a field agent, out there on all sorts of mission. So she needed to be sure she could handle whatever came her way. In terms of speed, endurance, strength. You know, things you'd need for a mission.
